Bought and installed in my Monte SS. I have a 6 speed manual behind it. Using a Trailblazer SS intake and some shorty headers this engine is strong. Started right up and has excellent oil pressure. Only have 25 miles on it so far but it sounds spicy!!

Just put of these in my 1977 corvette. Spectacular engine. Going from the 180hp smog engine to this makes it an entirely different car. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Had to change the water pump because corvette has its own length (short pump with thicker connections for fan), source a couple new parts such as coolant temp sensor and flex plate bolts, but the engine arrived quickly, bolted to the transmission, and dropped in no problem. Had it installed in the bay in a day, test drive 1.5 days later. Will order another engine for my wife’s truck soon.

The Team at ATK Performance are hands down the best. This LS NEXT Dart block, 388, is killer. I have had 0 issues with mine. Taken it to 1/2 mile events, drag racing events, roll racing events. Best bang for the buck if you have a LSA type setup.

I like to update my experience with this engine from time to time. This is my third update.. I installed this engine in my 2005 Silverado z71 in 2018 following the break in procedure provided with the engine. I now have put over 60,000 mi on it without a single problem and believe me when I say I’ve used it hard at times. Towing a dual axle enclosed motorcycle trailer, a 2000lb 21’ sailboat or a 3500lb camper quite often. From nc I’ve made trips to ariz, ny, Fla. I did install a hd aluminum radiator other than that the truck is completely stock, with 336,000 mi. From my experience I’ll would feel very confident buying another engine from this company.

I purchsed the SP75 bout a year now. pushing 2000 miles on the engine. Installed some ported 243 heads with a stage 2 BTR cam & FiTech intake. Stage 2 4L60 tranny. All in a 87′ C-10 truck. RUNS GREAT!
